How URL Verifier Pro Checks Redirects in Bulk
URL Verifier Pro handles 301, 302, 303, 307 and 308 responses itself instead of allowing the Windows HTTP layer to hide the redirects. It resolves each Location value against the current URL and follows the request until a non-redirect response or an error is reached.
Each response code is appended to the Redirect Chain column. The first redirect remains available as the initial status, while the last URL and response are stored as the final URL and final status. The redirect count records how many redirect hops were followed.
Repeated URLs are reported as a redirect loop. A redirect without a usable Location header is reported explicitly, and the scan stops with a too-many-redirects error when it reaches the configurable redirect limit. The limit can be set from 0 to 20 in Settings.
The scanner does not retain every intermediate destination URL and does not decide whether a final destination is correct for your project. Use the final URL, final status, redirect count and status sequence alongside your redirect map or migration plan.
