Windows bulk canonical checking software
Extract canonical URLs across large URL lists and review missing declarations, final-URL differences and unexpected canonical targets.
Canonical evidence per URL
URL Verifier Pro extracts the first usable HTML canonical and displays it beside the submitted and final URL.
Link header canonical in a separate Header: Canonical column.A blank canonical is left blank rather than automatically marked as an error. Check the scan status, content type and error columns before deciding that a page is missing a canonical declaration.
Review differences in context
A highlighted canonical needs review, but the difference may be deliberate.
Final URL: https://example.com/service/
Canonical: https://example.com/service/
Final URL: https://example.com/product/?colour=red
Canonical: https://example.com/product/
Final URL: https://example.com/service/
Canonical: https://staging.example.com/service/
URL Verifier Pro highlights the difference; it does not decide whether the canonical target is correct for the page.
Check patterns across many pages
Scan groups of product, category or article URLs together to find shared canonical targets, old domains and inconsistent URL formats.
See the other checks available for URL audits, website migrations and technical QA.

Discover sitemap files, follow nested sitemap indexes and review the URLs they contain.
Browse sitemap indexes, nested sitemaps and discovered URLs in an interactive tree.
Check page titles, descriptions, robots directives, Open Graph and X metadata across large URL lists.
Review robots.txt rules and see whether each URL is allowed or disallowed.
Inspect response headers, cache rules, content types and server details at scale.
Inspect TLS versions, certificate issuers, validity dates, signatures and key details.
URL Verifier Pro reads canonical link elements from the HTML head and retains the first usable value. Relative canonical URLs are resolved against the final URL reached after redirects.
For mismatch highlighting, the resolved canonical is compared with that final URL. The comparison ignores URL fragments, scheme and hostname letter case, and trailing slashes on URLs without a query string. Path case and query strings remain significant.
A matching value is shown normally. A different value is highlighted in the Canonical column. Blank values are not highlighted, and HTTP Link header canonicals remain available separately rather than replacing the HTML canonical.
The comparison identifies a difference, not an SEO error. Parameter variants, syndicated content and alternate pages may intentionally point elsewhere.
